The Shaggs. Well, you know, there's a story there and it's sorta sad. Their dad thought they were great. He "managed" their career.

Not much you can say about that.

Roy Buchanan, anyone? Talking about great guitar players.

Me, no like SRV. But my husband sure did.

And Bluegrass is SUPPOSED to be twangy. :x

I can't figure out how to even find the YouTube link from my iPhone so I can't link to it but my new favorite song is 'These few presidents' by Why. Fantastic song and beautiful lyrics. :)

It's very indie. :p

But i found the line "even though I haven't seen you for years, yours is a funeral I'd fly to from anywhere" quite a darkly romantic lyric.

Btw, Yov, I seem to remember you being an arcade fire fan (unless I'm mixing you up with someone else), so I was wondering what you thought about their last album...

Haha cool. I have to admit that I listened to it a couple times when it came out but wasn't really impressed. Probably cause I was (and still am) so in love with their first album. But I've since started listening to it again and can't listen to anything else. It's been in my cat stereo for like two weeks. I never get why I'll like things at some times way more than others. But I love it now. Still no 'funeral' but it's still amazing!

I've cried a thousand oceans, and I would cry a thousand more if that's what it takes to sail you home.

I've been really into Heilung after I came across a Castlefest TV video of them. I have their song Lifa on heavy rotation in my Pagan Euro-folk-metal playlist.
