Labor Day has passed and we are now into the swing of September marked by cool breezes and the anticipation of a change in color. Green begins to turn a bright red, then into orange and finally brown. School begins for most kids as they lament the death of summer freedom. In this season of decay there is only hope and one thing that can be called happiness: hockey season is here.

Albeit the season is starting late with a few games taking place in other countries, for now the time of preseason gets underway.

Who's your favorite team? What players are you excited for? You don't have to look hard to see who I root for.

DROP THE FRIGGIN' PUCK ALREADY!

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

The Hawks are too young. They are like a young lad, and the Wings are Plato or another Greek philosopher. The fucking is for their own good.

Let's call the Red Wings Socrates and sentence them to death next season :D

By the way, I am currently in Chicago. Sitting in a Marriot on Michigan Ave. I leave tomorrow.

I just met Don Cherry!

On the 25th I will be in Toronto rooting for Tie Domi in Battle of the Blades in the Maple Leaf Gardens. You want to know what it is. Google it! Or I'll post a video.

Hey another Chi City fan. I like Vancouver and would have cheered them had they won but I'm really hoping Chicago can pull it off this year. So much young talent and they're a lot of fun to watch!

Besides, I stand to make like $90 if they win. :D Actually I'm pretty much guaranteed the money if Montreal can beat the Penguins tonight. So go Habs go.

Ack, Vancouver is dirty dirty, AND they're ugly to boot. Hey maybe next year.... :P

You made yourself some fast cash there since Montreal did beat crappy Crosby and the Penguins.

My heart belongs to Chicago in good times and in bad. I was raised with posters of Stan Makita and Bobby Hull, Blackhawks buttons and penants hung with pride on our basement walls. I'm just glad thing are good

That was truly special. I didn't want to turn off my TV. I get so exited for the playoffs every year and end up watching as many games as I can every night that I'm always a little sad to see things end. At least they ended well this year!
