Celebne -- the word on some of the DVD sites is that this set will be released in time for this Christmas. The EE set will most likely be released in 2011 timed with the theatrical release of THE HOBBIT. And the rumors say that it is the EE set that will have all the new extras that people have speculated about.

I wonder how many new Blue ray players will be sold because of this? I bought my first DVD player just for FOTR when it came out.
