I must say I really like the look of this. The basic concept is not exactly new (machines cause end of humanity), but I love the... rag dolls..? and the movie looks great. Looking forward to September! :)

Plus, anything with Tim Burton's name on it is usually good. ;)

Unless he actually directs it, Nienor! Did you know he had next to nothing to do with The nightmare before Christmas and Coraline!?

I thought he simply just didn't have anything to do with Coraline at all..?

Elijah Wood is doing 9's voice. Was I the only person reminded of Frodo and Mordor in the final shot of the trailer? :D

Where? I've searched around now and can't find it. Only connection I can see with Tim Burton is that the director of Coraline is the director of Nightmare before Christmas.

Sharkys right. The only connection is that people keep talking about Coraline as "from the same maker as Nightmare before Christmas" and people think "Tim Burton".

Disappointment! O__O

According to the trailer, the premiere for this movie is today. But not here, no. Looks like it won't come to Norwegian cinemas this year at all. :(

Anyone living in a better place, and planning to see it? Any reviews out? I haven't heard a thing about this movie since the trailer got me all excited.

I finally saw the movie today, on DVD. I liked it: it's visually wonderful, you'll love the details, the characters are great, and the whole thing has just got this feel to it that I really enjoyed. Still, I'm somewhat disappointed. I had thought it would be... more. I thought the trailer looked amazing, and my expectations were too high. The story wasn't strong enough, and the ending was unsatisfactory. I had hoped (I realize now) for something a bit bigger and more epic, and it just wasn't.
