Season 6 is where it gets dark...

Of course it also has "Once more with feeling..."

You mean it's not dark already? :Q

So, I've seen all of season 5 now. Was it originally planned to be the last season?

Considering what happened at the end of Season Five, how could Season Six not be dark?

And no, I don't think 5 was ever going to be The End.

A lot of people don't like season six, but I do.

Actually, I think season five was The End for a while. They were cancelled on their original network but then picked up again pretty quickly, so they kept going. On the one hand, that would have been a perfect series finale, especially with the inscription at the end.

I do love season six, though. I know it's unpopular, but I love that they're willing to take it to such dark places and that they don't just cast off the aftermath of The Gift but instead make Buffy really deal with that. Also, the trio? Unpopular, but I like them, too.

I picked up Season 6 today. The guy at the shop said that his family was heavily into Buffy, and now they're all into Supernatural.

So, who's seen Supernatural? Is it any good?
(I've got a feeling I asked about this show before, but I can't remember the answer...)

I saw season 1 of "Supernatural" before we got "Buffy" and liked it. Halfway through season 2, we got into "Buffy", dropped all our other shows for the duration, and never went back to "Supernatural". "Supernatural" seems like a cheap imitation compared to "Buffy". We even have Season 3 waiting for us, but can't seem to bring ourselves to move on from where we stopped in Season 2.

So, you've left Buffy where she was at the end of Season 5 for a whole month???? :Q Such self control!

Well, Season 5 did provide closure, even if it was sad closure. It would have worked as a complete finale.

Now I'm going to see how they manage to continue the story. I can't figure out how to make it work, but I'm sure Joss has something up his sleeve!

Well, that was a white-knuckle 90 minutes!

Why did you think I'd quit in disgust?

Because I remembered wrong! :doh1: I thought the first episode ended without the real Buffy making an appearance yet. I definitely remember being a bit appalled during the first episode, thinking they were going to continue the series using the

:LMAO: :D :D That one's my favorite, too! :)

I even bought the sound track of that one so we could listen to the songs in the car. :)

Minor quibble: why do Giles and Spike turn American when they sing?

Giles does? I noticed that James Marsters did, but I assumed that was because he sings in public a lot and it might be hard to keep up the accent and still sing well.

I find it hard to hear accents in singing unless they are extreme, but I just went back and listened to some of what Anthony Stewart Head sings, and he still sounds slightly British to me.

Well, Anthone Stewart Head is British, but James Marsden isn't from what I remember. That might explian it.

I'm just over half-way, and I'd think that season 5 is darker. So far, anyway. (not that season 6 isn't dark)

Anybody remember the meat factory informational video for new employees on Buffy's first day at her new job? Screamingly funny parody of everything a commercial shouldn't be

On a completely unrelated note, I'm thinking of going vegetarian...
