I saw that, Sharky. Congrats to them for the silver!

So it's the US and Canada for men's hockey today! I wish I didn't have a stupid meeting because I would watch it. Well, maybe I'll be done in time to see some of it. I do like hockey.

Don't wail and gnash your teeth. That game was as close as dam is to swearing. What a GREAT game. Sidney Crosby! That ought to shut up the people who've been carping about him.

I wish they could have declared a draw and given both teams gold medals. It was one of the best hockey games I've ever seen. Fantastic.

It was awesome!

And congratulations to the Canadians for their gold! Well-played all the way around. :)

(But I did want the U.S. to win! :D)

Just got back from volunteering duties at the Canada Hockey Place. Woohoo! I saw all my "heros" heheheh...Wayne Gretzky who smiled and waved at me when he stepped out of the car. I was at the opening ceremonies so seeing him up close was way better. :) Whenever I see the Hockey Canada car stop in front of me I get goosebumps. I was going to greet them all! I even asked the driver if he was waiting for Mr. Ovechkin, he said yes, and I was so glad to go over to Alex and say "Mr. Ovechkin your car is here." since he was waiting by the door.

Princess was working at Pacific Coliseum (figure skating) for a few days but had fun even when she had to work outside when Joannie won the bronze for Canada. I saw her on TV once, just a pan shot, she was helping out in the sidelines. Two people who don't know each other said they saw me at the opening ceremonies, I go really?! Another guy saw me at the hockey game. I go, so you guys just sit around looking for me, eh?

I still wear my blue jacket to work and darn proud to be part of it all! Got a few honks and thumbs up from people. A few even ask for directions, where is the Richmond Oval?, Where is Hastings St.? etc...here in Calgary. I laugh and say don't you guys realize you are too early for the paralympics and too late for the olympics. They were in Vancouver, too and appreciated our help.

Just signed up for London 2012. :D
