A Game of Thrones is coming to HBO (wish I had HBO) with Sean Bean as Eddard Stark, who is definitely not whom I imagined Ned looked. But I suppose I could adapt. :D

When I first heard about it, I wondered what parts of the byzantine plot they'd be trimming, but from the list of characters in IMBD, it appears all of the story threads will be included.

I've seen the TV spots on HBO. My GF read the books and has said its an amazing series so I'm interested. She liked the Pillars of the Earth books and when I watched the series I liked that a lot so hopefully I'll like this too.

Sorry, can't add much else...

One of the benefits of going with a miniseries as opposed to a feature film is they can keep byzantine plots more or less intact.

GRRM is involved in the project. Also, these stills look very promising. Especially Tyrion. That "Eff my life" expression on his face in one of his shots is priceless - looks like they've nailed that character at least. I am hopeful.
