I'm not much into cartoons, but our son got us season one of Avatar: The Last Airbender for Christmas, and I'm really hooked. I don't remember ever crying for a cartoon character's plight before, but I have with this show, several times. Especially in season 2.

It's really, really good. It takes an outstanding story for me to get past my dislike of the unrealistic faces of cartoon drawings but this is such a one. It's such a good story that I don't even notice the cartoon aspects anymore. I'm going to be sad when we get to the end of this show.

Our younger daughter advised us to never, EVER watch the live action Airbender movie-- it's soooooo bad-- so I guess that isn't a good option for more of the Bender world.

Anybody else like this show? :)

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

Saw part of the first season and really enjoyed it. Skip the movie I just watching it via Rifftrax and it was brual but hilarious with the boys comments.

Night is falling
You’ve come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping
