Never walked out on a movie, but I left a hockey game once because I was so put off by the combination of animal behavior and commercialism on display.

Transformers 2. We lasted an hour of the 2.5 hours.

It was a very long hour.

Holy shit that was bad. A script written by a computer sampling lines from every bad movie going.

I struggled a bit with seeing that one cuz I'm sure it'll be on tv all the time next year and it's obviously for the big screen if anything. But hearing about the wrecking-balls-as-testicles robot, and gold-toothed illiterate twin bots... pass! Michael Bay is grossing me out, I'll try to avoid his films unless they involve LOTR actors. :P

Sorry y'all had to take off! That Megan Fox is a trickster, just stay home next time and look up pictures of her on the internet ok.

Transformers, Armageddon, The Rock and Bad Boys were excellent. But never give him a sequel. Bad Boys II was terrible as well. The only reason I watched all of it was that I happened to be living in Amsterdam at the time, but watched it during a business trip to Miami. The film started off in Amsterdam, then switched to Miami.

Shame on you for liking those movies. :nono: :P
(Armageddon would likely make into my top 10 most hated movies. :halo: )

It was fun, but we really only need one of those suckers. :P If I never saw another action-packed, humanity-threatened, testosterone-driven, horrific pun-filled 'crowd pleaser', well... I would survive just fine.

How can you not like the first Transformers movie? I thought it was brilliant. :D

Other than the fact there were too many different comic relief characters and I couldn't really *see* the robot fights (flashing bits of metal moving/ can't tell who/what is who!) I didn't mind Transformers II. Was OK.

How can you not like The Rock or Armageddon? The Rock had one of the most good 'baddies' in a movie?

Only movie I ever walked out of was Wuthering Heights.
These days I just nap if I hate the movie.

I woulda left but my friend liked it so I stayed and napped.

I'm East Anglian. If I've paid my money by God I'll grit my teeth and get my money's worth. Besides badly made stuff is instructive in its own unpleasant way; it teaches you why good things are good.

Only one movie I walked out of.

Purple Rain.

:shudder:

I only went to see it, because my then-boyfriend wanted to. He disliked it even more than me. :D

j/k I've never seen it but I don't really understand that guy anyway. :P

I forget if I posted my own choices in this thread, but Step Up and Eragon were both painful to sit through. I have zero excuses for not walking out on them because every minute was literally worse than the last. I thought Rachel Weisz voicing the dragon in Eragon was remotely cute, but that's about it. So... no, I never did walk out, but I considered it so heavily in both cases that their ghosts still haunt me. Awful, awful movies. *barf*

Even renting flicks, I like to get my money's worth. However, during an unfortunate phase of curiosity getting the better of me and certain titles becoming available, I was pleased to discover I can just shut something off, seal it in an envelope, and toss it back in the mailbox. Oh, banned cinema, what was I thinking... :peek:

I always despised the mother in that movie. 'Neglecting robochild will cause irrevocable damage? Whatevs. Oh hey, my asshole bio-spawn just woke up, so long sucka!'

[ img ]

Botboy spends the rest of the movie trying to get back to her, which kind of made me D: cuz... no. Like I've screamed at a thousand romance flicks: she doesn't deserve you!! :P

I did walk out of Irreversible oh and the Matrix II (Reloaded I believe)

The first one because I could not take it and the second because the rave party in Zion gave me such a migraine that I had to go out to throw up. I went back in though, about half an hour later but I had throbbing pain in my head so I only have a very hazy memory of the movie.
I think there was some Disney playing at the theatre where we went for Irreversible, so I entered the room . I still ended up coming out before my friends.

Oh sweet merciful lord, Eari! D: I won't even try to imagine what it'd be like seeing Irreversible on the big screen, simply due to the subject matter, let alone those wacky camera movements. They were fine on my little tv, but just watching it alone, I ended up in the fetal position rocking back and forth and crying because of the story. No feckin' thanks to sharing that experience with a crowd! :P

I need to go hug a pillow now or something.
