"Thanks for your cooperation" is nice, too.

It doesn't matter much to me, but I like some kind of personal touch so it doesn't sound like TPTB speaking from a cloud in the sky.

Oh, I don't know . . . there's something to be said for the "burning bush" approach. . . .

Well, it does seem a shame that there's no room for the Salmon of Correction in the charter. We don't have enough fish in our system of governance. "Members who commit any of the listed offenses will spend seven days in the Lutefisk Room." That kind of thing.

Well, I'm thinking that eventually we'll get around to Article 37: Official Ceremonies, and all the ceremonial titles that go with them, like keeper of the Salmon of Correction, the Cod of Conduct and the Sacred Hazmat Suit, etc.

We have to indoctrinate new members in our religion, don't we. Start them young and fill them with the fear of eternal lutefisk and virginity.

Okaaay ... back to business.

Those were good ideas, TH.

I edited a more reserved handshake into the end of the sticky, "Thank you for helping to keep Board77 a member-moderated Board."

I removed my own signature and replaced it with a note at the very, very end thanking myself for drafting the stickies. :)

The sticky thread in the Bike Racks entitled "How to Use the Bike Racks" has two posts in it. The first one is this the explanation. The second one is reserved for the list of jury members.

I don't know whether you can delete the opening post of a thread or whether that deletes the thread ... but whatever way you have to do it, I suggest that someone wearing the Administrator id replace the existing thread or delete the existing posts in the thread and put up the same info under the neutral i.d. instead.

You can go inside my first post in this thread and just copy everything with url included from "color=indigo How to Use the Bike Racks" on down.

For the second post in the new thread just reserve space for the jury/mediator list.

I don't mind at all if you delete my posts or lock/delete the whole thread or whatever you have to do to keep the forum looking neat and unambiguous. Post count is not important to me.

Thanks!

Jn

I don't know, Prim - the Americans have a problem with "cruel and unnatural punishment", don't they? We might get ourselves into legal trouble there! :D

Thank You

to whomever put up the new stickies in the Bike Racks.

Bee-yu-tee-ful!

:cheerleader: :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

Guess what? We can lock this thread now! I love it when they fall to the bottom. Feels like checking things off a list. :)

I changed the sticky in the Bike Racks - but I have the old post saved as a word doc, in case we want it back or so. ;)
(Though I guess you have it saved somewhere, too.) :)

I don't think it's possible to overwrite a post and change the name of the author, so I had to delete your posts.
I guess I should have deleted the whole thread and started a new one, because I now see that it still has "Jnyusa" as thread starter, so I asked the others if that was ok, or if we should re-start the whole thread.

I also re-arranged the admin-names by term of office/alphabetically - please let me know if that's not ok for you! :)

Edit: Damn, you are fast! :D

Edit again: yikes, I just realised that I could lock it! :Q

Ok, then, locked per request! :D
