Jn, Amending the Charter is the one thing that did not find its way into my poll on opening the board. When do you envision it being discussed? I imagine that it will be a relatively small item.

Voronwe, first, I put this up as a sticky so that the person who replaces me will not have to include it in every discussion thread, as I've been doing.

Second, the remaining agenda will go out by email tomorrow, and right now we have remaining Article 3 (¶9), Article 2 and Article 4, Mission Statement and Key Principles that have to precede the opening of the board (if the current vote numbers hold).

So ... Amending the Charter is after that, along with any other additional by-laws that we need (Article 6 will be inserted whenever the Business Forum stuff is done).

I don't think the opening depends at all on knowing how the Charter will be amended, because we're sure not going to amend it before we finish writing it. :)

Thanks, Jn. I agree completely.

When I posted I did not know yet that you were giving up your position as discusion leader.

Could I ask the Rangers to lock this thread as well. The new thread containing the complete document has a post for every existing Article at this point, so we no longer need a separate outline to keep track of what's left to do.

Thank you.

Jn

(cleaning up the forum a little bit)
