Congratulations, Prim! To you and your guy. :D

These days 25 years is a miracle accomplishment.

(The secret to surviving a bookstore is to leave your credit card at home.) :P

Thanks, Jn! I don't know how we did it. I think the kids distracted us. :P

But we have no intention of "surviving" Powell's—we've been making our lists for weeks. (It's an independent bookstore that occupies several stories of an entire city block—the rooms are color-coded so you don't get lost—they hand you a map when you come in. Oh, and used and new books are shelved together. I hope to score at least a grocery-sack full off my list.)

(A romantic getaway that includes Powell's—I guess we were made for each other. :P )

People, it's easier to apologize afterwards than to ask permission in advance ... these discussions have been largely devoid of committee members for the past few days, and it occupies my brain cells in an unpleasant way when we have niggling things that have to be resolved and little or no discussion of them. My solution in such cases is just to collect options and put things to a vote.

So I'm putting up the last three Draft Ballot - there will now be five draft ballots up altogether - and I'm hoping we can start voting on Thursday, 11:59 GMT so that we don't have to hold the vote over until Monday but can terminate after 48 hours.

Not everything will go up instantaneously, but I'll bump everything that you have to see and post to, including the charter name.

These votes conclude tomorrow right? 6:59 CST (that's my time)? I hope so, because I haven't had internet time today and am way too tired to vote right now. I'd probably make another mistake.

Are you on standard time, Eru? Or Daylight time?

They end at 8:00 pm my time, which I think is two hours ahead of you, so that would be 6:00 pm your time, but if you need us to wait an hour longer or even two we can do that.

I don't mind waiting when I know that someone intends to vote.

You're on EST right? If so you're only an hour ahead of me.

I do want to vote. And that means I'm going to have to pry myself away from Harry Potter! :Q :help: :P

Eru, I'm on EDT.

I didn't realize there were parts of Texas on Central time - yeah that's one hour difference, not two.

All of Texas is on Central time I believe Jn....although far west Texas could be an exception.

People, I've been compiling this as we went along. Here are the remaining threads for the Directory in the History Forum. Someone using the Admin i.d. will have to move them.

The first block goes at the bottom of the list entitled "Convention Threads" and the second block goes under the list entitled "Ratification Threads."

All the threads in the directory are in chronological order, and these lists here are also in chrono order, so please try to keep them that way. Thank you.

Done! :D

That is, I hope I got that right: you only wanted the links listed here copied into the Directory - no moving of threads, yet, right?

Hobby,

I made a mistake in my PM to you. Here's what stays:

The sticky B77 charter

The global stickies

The sticky How to Use the Jury Room

The two Handbooks (committee can keep their permissions if they wish and help review the Handbooks ... I've got to finish two of them yet)

Maybe leave The End is Near for a few more days for people to stop in and wave.

The rest can go to the History Forum at your convenience. Thanks, Jn

Everything else

I can help review the handbooks.

I'm pretty good at catching typos, as long as they're not mine. THOSE I never see.

Ah, thanks, Jny - I was hoping we could go on posting a bit in Voronwe's good-bye thread! :)

I'll try to get round to help with the handbooks. :)

And I'm not removing any permissions yet, then. :D

I thought I'd leave this one too, in case some more things to do need to be announced. :)
