Friends, with 14 committee members having voted, we have a tie on one of the questions. I have PMed Din, the one committee member who has not voted, to ask him to please vote so that the tie is broken. I would appreciate it if others encourage him to do so as well. If he doesn't vote, I'm at a complete loss as to what to do.

Voronwe, which question? Perhaps if we all look at that specific question again, in case any of us wish to reconsider?

Imp it was the question whether to divide the second part. There isn't really a compromise solution available because we either divide it or not.

It would be better, I think, for Din to vote than for any of us to change our original choice.

Voronwe,

When Din votes, we will be ready to move this text into the "Actual Document So Far" thread.

Because of the length, I've got the Articles spread over two posts right now, and we'll have to do some re-arranging. So I thought I'd start talking about that now. It's too early to move everything directly to html and pdf documents, because we have to scour them for consistency and do the name changes.

The really long Articles are Article 3: Administrators and Article 5: Dispute Resolution, because of all the procedures.

I think that [I. Mission Statement], [II. Key Principles], and [IV. Governance Procedures, Article 1 and Article 2] will fit nicely into the first post. I'd like to move [III. Goals] out of the way. I'm thinking that the goals will be dated, so we could put that section after all the governance articles and update it on some infrequent, routine basis.

Anyway ... there is also a random post in their by Griff :) which I will simply jump over. But I want to make sure that Members will be able to find the relevant text they are ratifying.

So I thought I would either: (1)move everything down one post so that the top post will be empty for you to put in Mission, Principle, Article 1 and Article 2 when those are approved. But the post will have my name on it, and I don't know how to change that unless you want to: (2) delete that thread and start a whole new one. It's fine with me if you want to do that - in fact, I think I would prefer it. Bu tell me first so that I can pull everything back on to my hard drive! I don't want to have to rewrite the url code.

If you want to start a new thread, we can create empty posts so that the Articles can be posted in order. Or, we can use the thread we have, just move everything down one post, pretty much all the posts will end up having my name on them, and there will be one Griffon to jump over. :)

State your pleasure!

Jn

Hmmm...I've re-read the text and pondered - and won't be changing my vote in any case.

So, it's up to Din. :horse:
