I don't mind the recharge, but nor do I think we need to wait for ratification to send out the emails. The Hearing process we used pre-committee allowed for a Jury Pool and there were no objections about that provision until now. It is unlikely that the members will strike down the idea of Hearings and juries since that was their idea from the beginning.

I am a bit anxious to ensure that the original members are first in line, because there is such a thing as acculturation of new members, which it is up to the rest of us to provide.

Btw, we cross posted above. I was responding to Ax's question whether anyone would volunteer to be Loremaster. I wil volunteer for that but I am not going to run for Mayor and will ask to be moved farther down the list for admin also. My intention was to set the record-keeping system up and let someone else take it over ... and I'm not sure I even need to do that because the Admins have a list going which they've kept updated.

Jn, I think that Ax was referring to volunteering to run for Mayor, not to be a Loremaster. I think its a valid concern.

I didn't even realise it til Cerin PM'ed me.

and then I PM'ed back all over the place with letters.

Oh, golly!  I seem unable to think these days. So glad you were able to work it out.

Sorry. Abjectly sorry.

And also...congratulations! :cheers Yet another difficult job over with!

I assume if someone were nominated for Mayor and didn't want to be considered, they could withdraw their name.

If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve. :D

Cerin, goes without saying. We can't force anyone into such duty - must be willingly undertaken.

It is a pity we made no provision for back up to the mayor. Ah well. I guess it's lonely at the top. ;)
