I have done some serious editing on this Handbook to include the function of Loremaster, and to correct some minor errors or omissions elsewhere in the text, namely: existence of an alternate juror and associated clarifications, correction that board-wide vote takes place on Immediate Bans only, putting in additional section titles for clarity.

At your leisure, you can review the new version.

.. and I did some serious reading. This whole issue of jury discretion re maximum penalties still had me :scratch but with the edits done now it is much clearer.
Perhaps I may suggest a slight ammendment (just to 'nail' it)
Quote:
Your job as jurors is to decide (1) whether a by-law has in fact been violated, and (2) what the penalty, if any, should be. These are independent decisions. You are not required to impose a penalty, even if you decide that a by-law has been violated. Article 5, 4
.. unless the maximum penalty is mandated by Article 3 [addition]

Perhaps by stating that there it would go some way to make it even clearer. Other than that, I'm simply just awed :D

The Juror's (Mediators & Loremaster) handbook is now uploaded as a stand-along page on geocities and here in accordance with Jny's latest edits.

There are some editing notes in pink (that will disappear of course just once we're in the all clear) as the numbering of the Articles was somewhat out of synch in Art 5 (paragraph 7 onward). Please verify.

To make editing of the geocities pages easier for me, please post any editing comments (except for the above) you have in the thread Constitutional document on geocities naming the page and exactly where the error is. There are crosslinking problems and I'll try and fix those just as soon as may be.

Alandriel, I'll double-check the numbers later today. Got a bit of catching up to do.

Right.... after a few hiccups and a few :doh1: from my side I think it's now all fixed.

Jurors, Mediator & Loremasters Handbook

Including the Archive paragraph, and having the Article numbers straightened out.

Thanks for your patience :)

Since this document is now up and running and it's only a matter of editing, please Rangers lock this thread, if it's ok with you Jny. Any editing comments should go into the thread Constitution Document on Geocities.

Thanks. :)
