My reaction is similar to Prim's and Anthy's 'cept I'm gonna go surf for porn.

It's a guy thing.

Admins,

I think we need to send out another global email explaining to posters that even if they don't post in the TOE we need for them to express an opinion in this poll because if we don't get a quorum we will be left once again with not eligibility requirements in this forum.

We are not going to get a quorum at this rate. There are less than four days remaining to vote.

A bit early to panic, Jn. We actually have over 12 days to go. :)

I intend to include a mention of this when I send out an email on the other charter ratification threads that will come up for voting in a few days. There will still be a week left on this vote then, plenty of time to encourge people to vote.

:)

V. - someone voted on June 9. I know that Imp's post was dated the 11th, but from votes cast I had recorded this vote to begin on the 9th and end on the 19th ... although I now realize that the 19th is not this coming Thursday, which is what I thought when I posted that

But it doesn't matter if the vote runs longer than 10 days, right? It only has to be not shorter than ten days.

Longer should not be a problem.
The bit question always was what is the minimum. (IMO that is)

I've held back on this one (I rarely peek into TOE) but realizing you do need more votes I hit a button.

It is gratifying to note that it is looking more and more like the same choice would be selected whether it is counted from more stringent to less or less stringent to more.

It has to work that way, doesn't it? Or can counting past the fraction to the next whole number make a difference?

Aiiii, I've had only one cup of coffee. :Q

Prim, for it to work that way, the number of votes for the more stringent choices has to come close to matching the number of choices for the less stringent choices. Laureanna gave an example earlier in the thread of a voting pattern that would have resulted in a different result if it were counted from less stringent to more stringent then the other way around.

Unless there's an unexpected run of votes, I think the clause is more or less settled. However, I won't edit the text until the poll officially closes on 25 June.

:) <-- relieved.

Imp, can you change the title of the thread back so that it tells people what it is they are voting on?

Thanks! :)

Do we really have to keep this open for another two days? Can't we wrap it up now? It's been up for AGES to cover the bureaucratic requirement of "two whole weekends" but really....the quorum is met, the result is clear and I can't see a flood of votes in the next 48 hours that will change the result.

Can't we tie it up?

Imp, I think if we said the vote will last until a certain time we need to leave it up until then. I promise I'll take it down on Saturday as soon as the vote is officially over.

I did warn you. :P

K...I'll be patient and wait til Saturday. Does mean I'll have to scramble to get the clause in place in the Charter (doesn't seem quite kosher to do it while the vote is still open).
