Ang - one of the things that emerged early in our discussion was the fact that b77 doesn't have a mission, per se. So there cannot by definition be a mission statement, per se.
If we ever re-do the mission statement, we will certainly start with a discussion of what our mission should be. Considering the amount of disagreement about this at the present time, it was not expedient to postpone opening the board until we sorted it out.
Also, it might be impossible for us to formulate a proper mission when such a large change is looming before us. Doubtless our perception of our mission will change when we see what kind of new members we attract and how the board evolves during the first months after opening.
