Pursuant to this thread I am putting up polls in each forum other then ToE, the Outside forums, and the Board Administration forums (and the Invite forum, of course) regarding whether non-members should be able read that particular forum when we open. There was extensive discussion in that thread regarding which forums, if any, should be readable by non-members, so you may wish to check it out if you like.

Needless to say, feel free to share whatever thoughts you have about having this particular forum readable by non-members here. Voting will remain open for ten days.

People who are interested in writing will be encouraged by seeing that we have an RP/writing forum, particularly if we can tempt good writers by the quality of the work here; whereas if they can't see it, they may not be tempted.

And fresh meat here is always welcome!

I second that

If any forum is made public, it should be this one, so that people can have their creative output more widely seen and recognised.

Does that mean you'll be doing some writing here soon? I hope so!

Yes, there are plans to "enact" the final part of Lady_of_Rohan's and my fanfiction here. So far it's been posted as a series of letters (Éowyn and Faramir) on my website, but for the big reunion scene we thought it nicer to have some real interaction of the characters.

BTW, I was a no vote. I am not sure I can put my finger on why, possibly some of the stuff that happened on TORC, but I do agree with Impy, it will be good to get new people in.

.....and old friends who don't want to be part of the community but do want to write....

Sure why not i know i was looking for RP when i found TORC and look what it gave me! so yes i think other need the opportunity to make up their minds if they want to read or write.

I know... and I'm guilty as charged wether on the count of one or the count of two. But I think you all can appreciate that I'm a bit pre-occupied at the moment which means the muse has fled. But - the good news is that all these ailments will be drastically relieved just around the end of this month... and then I have 3 weeks before summer holidays hit and I intend to make the most out of those.
You won't see me in July... not until I've actually produced an RP post. And that's a promise!
