The Constitutional Convention Member Discussion Thread should stay open and in place in the business room as long as the convention committee continues to meet. Otherwise, I concur with everything on the list. :)

It looks good to me, too, with the same note as Voronwe.

Jn has registered the Mayor user name. I have set the permissions so that she can read all of the forums but only post (and sticky and such) in the Michel Delving forum. I have also (I think) uploaded the same Avatar picture that we have for the Administrator account, at her request.

Won't the Mayor need to post outside Michel Delving—in Business, say?

OK, here's an update from Jny:

To do now:

Lock and leave in the business room:
Emergency Exemption - done
B77's History/Chain of events - already locked

Delete
Summary of Article 5 for pre-Ratification Review(duplicate) - I can't bear to delete a thread - somebody else please do this.
Discussion of Invitation - updated 03Mar invite thread to be blown up with other invite threads with due pomp and circumstance.

Move now to history:
Inviting the whole "someday" list at once
If the invite process is shortened, how short should it be?
Opening Board77 - the last decision we'll take
Opening up B77?

To do after voting closes Sunday:

Lock and leave in the business room after poll ends:
Threads that have to go before we open - POLL

Lock and move to history after their votes close:
CHARTER RAT.: Mission Statement - VOTE
ToE eligibility clause - you can still vote
CHARTER RATIF.: Key Principles: VOTE 'till
CHARTER RATIFICATION: Goals: VOTE 'till
CHARTER RATIF.: Ownership - VOTE 'till
CHAR. RAT.: Mayor's Office: VOTE 'till end

Advice needed:

Unknown people registering out of the blue / updated Jny suggests deleting. It does seem like an invite-type thread. What say you?

Everything else is mostly harmless.

OK, now I'm going to try to move the "move now" threads.

I looked at the article 5 thread—it's got two pages of posts—why does Jn want it gone? We have only planned to actually delete Invite threads.

If for some reason she wants it out of sight, there's always Deleted Thread Storage. . . .

As for the "Unknown people registering" thread, there is only one reference to a specific person, whom the poster wanted to sponsor for membership—nothing upsetting. It's no hot potato, in short.

Let's move "Discussion of Invitation" into the invite forum so it meets its fate with the rest tomorrow. I'll go do so now.

OK. I went over to B77 experiment to find out how to move threads, and found out  that I never finished making that thread. So I finished it, and only accidently erased one thread experimenting around. Fortunately, it was one of my own practice threads. Then I moved the four threads in the above post out of business, into history. Whew!

Why is this one a "lock and leave" rather then a "move into the History Forum"?

I wonder that, too—it will stay at the top of Business for a while, even unstickied. It would be more prominent there than it would be in History, if the idea is to be discreet.

And I think it qualifies as a historical thread, since we made an important decision there.

Yes, I think that's for history, too - it's part of all the steps taken to open the board. :)

Good job on the new training thread, laureanna! :)

So, all the "to do now" list is done?

Cool!

(Where is the "unknown people" thread right now?)

It's on the back page of Business, Hobby.

Found it! :D

Hmmh, yes, it's merely procedural, but it links to the list of old registrations http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtopic. ... um=board77- is that going to stay?

No, but we're going to register all those people, so the list is not "sensitive" and I didn't spot anything in the thread that was. I'd say it's OK.

But then the link will be to a deleted thread - won't that look strange?

Sorry, I misspoke! :P I meant no, that thread won't be deleted. At least, I saw no reason to do it. So the link will be OK.

Yep! :D

(Ok, I should edit something, and there's a shadow thread which I need to delete - but then off to bed.)

That was cool - you guys are a great team! :grouphug:

(Let's plan a coup so we can keep working together! ;) )
