    La Camerata
Subforums that will NOT be readable by nonmembers:
  • m77t and geek
    The BikeRacks
    The Jury Room

I was afraid everyone would scream at me if I posted another announcement. :D

However, we are clearing them out apace right now, aren't we? So, okay.

Let me say here that I added the names of the forums to the thread titles of the threads that have been moved to the History forum, at least those that I could tell which forum they were from. Four of them had no discussion at all, and I could not tell what forums they were from once they were already moved into the History forum. I would prefer that those threads be deleted, as they are very much cluttering up the History Forum.

I'm sorry, Voronwe—I didn't think of that problem. Thanks for the ones you were able to title.

I'll go delete the ones without replies now.

I'm glad, actually. I would prefer that they be deleted anyway, to avoid cluttering the forum

Well, I wasn't thinking we would necessarily keep them forever, but if there was any question about the outcome of a vote, say, it might be nice to be able to refer people to the thread. Not that it's likely to come up.

I think we could probably dump them when we dump Invites, if no dispute has arisen by then?

Some of them have a bit of discussion - I don't think they make a big clutter in the history forum - besides, they are history, too. ;)

(Alternatively, I think we could just let them drop in the forum where they are, or move them to Deleted threads storage, but I wouldn't like to really delete them!)

Reading back up, I see I wasn't very clear. I was referring to the ones that had no discussion at all when I said that I would rather see them deleted. The discussion in the Business Room one in particular I think is quite valuable as it shows how good arguments can actually make quite a few people change their minds. That one in particular definitely should be kept.

Please do keep them - probably better to just let them float in the business forum. They'll sink quickly when they're locked :)

Prim: Thanks for making this an annoucement :) Could you also add the OUTSIDE sub-fora to that list above as well as the subfora of BOARD ADMINISTRATION (to be renamed 'Board Management)? Just to have the list complete and all transparent. Thanks :)

I added it , Alandriel, but was not thinking of this as being a permanent sticky. If you think the list would be of use to new members, perhaps there is another place we could put it.

I'll leave it stickied until the big day, then unsticky it and move it to History.
