I voted...whooo...

And for what its worth it what about leap year, does that make it 91.7485928479687372920970983472 days? :scratch ;) :D

I would just say 90, but 91 works.

and I'll probably be the one who says what I get 91.31 days on the 92 day

Well, but the world needs picky people. Otherwise everything would be all hodge-podge, higgledy-piggledy because it would be run by people like me. While I'm nice enough as a general rule, if a person has behaved badly enough to get themselves banned, I would be in favor of simplifying things by making all bans permanent. But that's me. :D

Did I miss the discussion part or come in late?

This part I wonder about:
Quote:
Because the Mayor is primarily a record-keeper the main concern is failure to update records, schedule Ranger terms or send out notifications promptly to members. We have allowed the Mayor five instances of dereliction of duty before Rangers might convene a Hearing to remove him/her from office. Dereliction of duty means that something which must be done has not been done and the Rangers must step in on an emergency basis and do it in the Mayor’s stead. As with the Rangers, however, the Mayor will never be considered derelict if advance warning of an absence is given.
Is there a provision for gross deriliction of duty (ex: actions taken against the board itself). I would hate to think that, if by some fluke a wacko becomes Mayor, they'd get five chances to screw things up before they got questioned.

Voted.

Are we really supposed to post when we vote?
Why?
Is somebody keeping track?

It's a habit the charter committee members formed when voting in polls, so the discussion leader would know who hadn't voted yet and could PM them.

Maybe it serves a social function, though—like seeing people lined up outside a polling place. :D

It allows us to check if any of our minority groups are being frightened away from the polls. :Q

Fixer: there's nothing the Mayor could do to the board as they don't have any mod/admin powers. The mayor is a regular poster who just happens to keep records of join dates and when a person can be a ranger...stuff like that.

This is so that the Rangers can check the "voted" post against the poll numbers and see who voted No. These posters will then find a black van parked on their log in screen next time they attempt to enter the board.
Actually, I think it's like an I Voted sticker. Shows how civic-minded we are and encourages participation. And we've always done it this way. :blackeye

Now that I have a more legitimate answer to my unasked question, I will answer. Tradition and recordkeeping are acceptable reasons.

Voted.

(And to anyone who might try the black van thing, my neighbors are very protective and would probably shoot strange cars in my driveway.)

This is why when I was a Ranger I favored black helicopters.

I am really glad that our new members are feeling free to vote!

W00t!

Just for the record, lots of people vote without posting that they've voted. I rarely post that I've vote but I do always vote. :)

I also don't usually post that I have voted in ratification threads.

No, but you posted that you don't post that you voted. :P Besides, look at your post count, and look at mine. :D

Some people just take more than others to say the same thing. ;)

Yeah, I always vote but usually don't post that I voted. And no Frelga, I usually don't post that I usually don't post when I vote. :scratch Or something. But it seemed like a rather harmless and unobtrusive way to boost my post count, plus I was curious about why others post that they voted. So I thought I'd ask.
