OK, so I'm a little late with this comment ...

Does this amendment allow for the creation of fora that are not read-only for the public - i.e. fora that are hidden from the public? Would we be able to create another forum similar to the Member's Lounge under the wording "new forums ... will be read-only to the public, unless otherwise designated by a Binding Vote of the Membership conducted according to Article 7. " I can imagine a members' only type of specific forum, such as a GOTF bulliten board, might be desired in the future.

Waiting for clarification before voting.

Yes, this article would allow that, so long as it was approved by a vote of the full membership.

We could do that—nothing forbids it—but it would require a Binding Vote. People were concerned about making it too easy to create "private" space or make presently public spaces "private."

Edit: Damn you, Voronwë! :D Oh, and I voted.

I guess this is a good way to add to your post count without looking like a spammer.

Putative = a resident of a red light quarter.

These threads are up that long so people like me get round to thinking that they really must get off their arses and vote. 6 so far and only one more to go. Why do I keep getting thrown out of the forum each time I vote? :rage:
