I don't understand what you mean by

AND to include the whole text of the amendment at the end of the Charter.

To list the text that was voted on under: Amendments to the Charter, under a separate section from Articles and Bylaws. Since we are making changes to the Articles, as opposed to simply amending the Charter per se, I think it might be useful to have some record of where those changes came from.

In IT it's called version control. It prevents people from killing themselves on a regular basis when they can't figure out what version of something has what in it and why. :)

Oh, I see. That sounds like a good idea. Are you suggesting it as a possibility only for the versions that you and Alandriel maintain, or also for the Charter text thread in the Jury Room?

We probably only need to keep it in one of the three locations. I'm volunteering mine/Alatar's. :)

In the other versions we can simply say "amended October 24 2005" under the articles affected.

Your final category in the Convention catalogue thread was 'Secondary Docoments'. Should I also have that section and link to the ToE sticky and the Ranger Handbook since they are being amended?

Edited to remove nonsensical question.

Well done, all. May I begin chilling the virtual champagne? :) Or are we in the mood for something stronger, quicker, and more efficacious?

Oh, I like that! So Shakespearean, Richard III, with just the right fin de siècle touch. :D

:LMAO:

We'd have to let him speak first, though.

Edit

Or wait, I think they speak after they're roasted.

:LMAO:

I know I’m jumping the gun by a full 12 ½ minutes, but I have gone ahead and taken down the global announcement about this vote. Barring a sudden and unforseen flurry of last second voting I believe this one is a go.

Thanks to everyone who voted. Now I have to go change the charter. Thanks. :nono:

Heh, heh. Our ulterior motive exposed -- making tinwe work while everyone else celebrates.

So can we let in TheMary and S_O now?

I fear ToE may implode....

I take it that since this passed we have to do the whole ten day period thing? Should I go ahead and start threads for S_O and TM in ToE? There were several other people on the waiting list, so I guess I should do them too, huh?

I'd say so. Lego contacted me when I was a Ranger so he should be on the list too.
