WELCOME TO THE HISTORY FORUM

This is a read-only forum that serves as our library.

This is where we keep all the threads that have to do with the Founding of Board77 (October, 2004), our early months as an invitation-only messageboard, the creation of our Charter, and our Opening to the public (July, 2005). Threads in which we conduct Amendments to the Charter, Hold Binding Votes, and pass Resolutions of the Membership are also stored here for the public to read.

You will see several sticky threads at the top of this forum. Each of these threads is a Directory, giving you the links to all other threads of a certain category found in the forum. For Example, links to all threads that concern the creation of our Charter can be found in the Directory of Charter Convention Threads.

Within each Directory, you will find red subtitles to assist you in finding the threads that you want to read.

If you are interested in reading up on the history of Board77, we recommend that you begin with these Directories rather than sifting randomly through the threads themselves.

For those of you interested in the inner workings of our democratic, member-moderated board, our full Charter can be found here: Charter of B77.

We have another library in The Outside Forum, entitled The Archives where we keep records of member hearings plus any other information that we think might be relevant to messageboard legalities or useful to our juries in resolving member disputes.
