Maybe the tie/almost tie means it doesn't really make a difference?

How about we compromise on 8 1/2 days? :P ;)

Actually, its 14:13 in favour of 7 days.

I say then make it 8 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes, taking into account whether the invitee/inviter is using DSL or a dial up.

Fair's fair.

Eh, I suppose 8 or probably 9 days...but 9 isn't that far from 10.

Honestly I have no idea what to do with this vote.

Me neither. But 9 days is a week plus a weekend... sort of ok for the "people on holiday" scenario, no?

Besides - fess up time - who does NOT log in, even if it's once at an internet cafe, during their holidays?

Good point, Ber. I signed in when my dad was getting heart surgery during a hurricane and it's subsequent city-wide blackout.

I don't think anything can phase me.

I don't log in from holiday. :P I'm invariably nowhere near an internet cafe and having a break from the net is just as good for me as a break from work!

It's basically a toss up between what benefits our existing community (in terms of having mucho time to vote), and what benefits those who want to come in swiftly. How many people, once their votes are up, are here on the dot?

I guess 9 days would work (I was a 10 day voter though ;) ).

I have discipline...I don't log on when I've got time with Vana.

And, let's see...I think I was the Only person who didn't post on TORC at the Gathering...

How about I take a risk and make an excutive decision since we're tied again?

Let's go with the 9 days. Not quite as long as 10 days which can somewhat appease those who like the 7 day scenario, but enough time so that those who go on holiday for a week can still hopefully catch the tail-end of a vote.

So let's establish the 9-day policy. Anybody who has serious problems with that, please step forward quickly!

Well not quite. I just didn't want to upset anybody, but obviously this isn't going anywhere so something has to be done. ;)

Nine days sounds fine.

We do need to be specific in each voting thread when the poll runs from and to. My suggestion would be to set the poll itself to run for the requisite number of days. ;)
