I've been taking a look around some of the emails and state of play with invites. Based also on my own conversations with people who lurk the memberlist, there seems to be some confusion over the invite process:

- More than one person has assumed that someone not yet approved is an existing member.

- More than one person has wondered why people who registered after them are already posting, whilst they themselves are still out there waiting.

I considered that we could simply delete members until they're accepted here. However that may look unfriendly. How about editing their profile so their location said 'not member yet' or 'awaiting invite' or somesuch?

A very good suggestion if I may say so :D Deleting them is indeed very unfriendly. Hope that Estel and Eru will see this soon.

As to what members assume here: that's why I'm so 'pedantic' in having the New Members as of March thread 'log' updated on a case by case basis so that the members also can check up the status of each case and so to avoid confusion.
The annoucement in Invites should be pretty clear on this (if people took notice).

Will add that to non-member registers today.

Just have to remember to include in the email when they are invited, that they need to change their location ;)

Edit: alright, have changed location for all non-active users to "Not yet an active member"

If wording isn't approved, just let me know what would be preferred, and I'll go back later today and change it :)

You're a star Estel. That wasn't a nag to do it BTW, just I'm a little nervous of jumping in and doing things without asking first. ;):P

the d wasn't included in the actual change ;) Just a mistake of typing to fast here :P

Leoba, I got the same thing when I first started. Eventually just started posting here or sending a PM basically saying "I'm gonna do this. Speak now or never ;) "

Works out rather well :)
