Hope this one makes sense..I'm having a hard time wording it:

Who said he made the words on the West-door of Moria?

From memory: "I, Narvi, made them"?

Familiar book!

This may be badly phrased, but I hope you know what I mean.

Over the course of the journey to Mordor and in Mordor, Sam wishes for three things and all three wishes are granted. What does he wish for?

Hey, take my point away—I just remembered a bit more, and I believe the inscription on the doors of Moria was "I, Narvi, made them" meaning the doors themselves—and then "Celebrimbor of Hollin drew these signs."

<duck sound>

<Prim shuffles away in shame>

Maiden, I'm not sure if these are the things you are referring to, but he wishes for light, water and to get to hear the lay of Frodo Of the Nine Fingers sung.

Which leads to one of my favorite lines in the entire book:
Quote:
And when Sam heard that he laughed aloud for sheer delight, and he stood up and cried, "O great glory and splendour! And all my wishes have come true!" And then he wept.

Okay, not too hard.

Who was Legolas' grandfather, and what was his fate?

Whee my thread is smokin'!

Lego's grandfather was Oropher and he died in the War of the Last Alliance.

Next q: Who did the Pukel-men resemble?
