Well, it'll be west coast, I'm hoping Bunratty, since thats convenient for Airports and trains.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is about 5 miles from Shannon Airport and about 10 miles from Limerick City. We'd be an hours drive from the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. I'm hoping to get us into holiday cottages, but time will tell.

Shannon airport, must go look for flights lol!

Maybe I concider asking my mother if we can go by car...of course that would mean crossing england first then another ferry....I detested the ferry to Ireland, got so sea sick! :help:

Are we any closer of setting a date?

Again I myself prefer may but only because it will be easier with university holidays (if I have any).

Not really Jae... I've been waiting till after the Summer Holidays here to investigate further, both cause I'm busy myself, and because accomodation places are very busy at this time.

Patience my pretty!

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it elsewhere but I'm nearly a definite as I'll still be studying in Scotland at the time. So unless something majorly unforeseen comes up I'll be there :)

MAYBE.

Depends.

how much accomodation might cost.

if we get a rather cheap flight.

if I can talk a moody hubby into it, who is convinced he doesn't speak a word english.

if school has holiday. (yes, my daughter starts school this autumn.)

if the house my parents are going to buy is in moving-in-able condition.

if grandma's house is sold by then.

I've started looking into this a little. Apparently April/May are considered high season, so a March moot would definitely be cheaper and also easier to organise last minute additions.

Self catering houses are only available to book for a week at a time this far in advance. Obviously, they will only rent for weekends if it gets closer to the time and houses are still unbooked.

So, is anyone planning on coming for a week, or should I be looking at B&B's?

March sounds good! I doubt I could skip a whole week but if there's a weekend involved I might could do a friday to monday thing.

I am hoping it wont clash with the field trip to paris. My life is hard :D

I think Steve and I would be able to make it to this one, since we're going to be back in the UK permanently, and we'll have steady income again.

Count us in as well :)

I meant to reply to this.

Whether we can make it or still depends on what date is picked (April and May are nearly all booked up with re-enactment and important family stuff, as is one mid March weekend). However, assuming all works out, we'd be looking at coming over for the weekend only.

Oh - and early March would apparently be best for the Satchy one. ;)

Price wise, so long as it's not in school holidays, the flights shouldn't be too bad for us.
