Oh my goodness! I feel like I'm almost too late, but I know I'm not.

I'll definitely be praying for your brothers Cem...I have so many friends that age and to think of them in a situation like that... :(

I'm very glad to hear that they're doing better-ish. Even a little good news is still good news.

A thousand :hug:s for you as you go through this.

I cannot tell you how much your words mean to me & my family. I've passed on the fact that I shared this information with my internet family & there are just so many people around the world now thinking & praying for us. I think it has really helped.

My parents are truly amazing. Heroes don't even begin to touch on it...

Thomas is home now. He's pretty shaken up, as he was there & remembers everything. The other two boys don't remember what happened... they didn't even know why they were in the hospital. (Apparently short-term memory loss is often a side-effect of electrocution.) For their sakes I hope they never are able to recall the event.

The latest news from my mother was that Jacob was up & about this morning. Still in pain, but off some of his medication already. The occupational therapist had talked to my dad about sending him home as early as today.

Samuel is still in the worst condition of the three. He finally had his trach tube out this morning & has been able to to answer questions. They are going to splint his hand so no further damage happens. Surgery will be needed later.

They just keep telling us that we'll have to go day by day with this. All the boys are strong & athletic, which should make recovery better for them.

One doctor did tell my parents that had Samuel & Jacob not been in such shape... they wouldn't have made it to the hospital...

We are very relieved that they are all alive & safe... and we will just be taking it day by day.

They've been in my thoughts and will continue to be, Cem. As will you and the rest of your family. But I am so thankful to hear of the progress already being made.

Jacob is coming home today! :)

Samuel will take the longest to recover & both will need some physical therapy & are still needing surgery.

My entire family is doing pretty well, all things considered.

Our prayers are now with Sam that he gains use of his hand.

:( That is a terrible thing to happen! I hope Samuel recovers fully and that the other two keep doing well. I'm sorry this happened to your family, Cem.

Jacob went in for outpatient skin-graft surgery this morning, and Sam is facing a more intense version of it this afternoon.....

Jacob's surgery went well. He woke up with all 10 toes, which was good news for him...

Not so good news for me, as I had teased him about being "Jakie, of the nine toes". ;)

His burns weren't nearly as bad as they had been anticipating they would be & several areas, including his head, were healing well enough that they didn't even need grafts.

Samuel is still in surgery right now, but the surgeon was very hopeful this morning about the work he had ahead of him.

The nurses are calling them the "miracle kids" because there is no logical explination for how they are still alive.

My mom explained to Samuel what had happened. In typical teenager fashion he thought it was "cool" that his hair had been on fire. My mom didn't think it was quite so cool. :P

He also wanted to know if Mom could see his skelaton when he was electrocuted. Mom's reply was "This was not like in the cartoons! But you did light up the block for a few seconds."

It's been good to have some humor about the situation.

Jake visited Sam before he was allowed to come home on Thursday & Sam told him he looked "funny". Jake said "You don't look too great yourself."

It's so good to have everyone on the mend, including those who just suffered an emotional "shock".

:)

Samuel is on a travel soccer team here in town & they won their tournament game today, in his honor. After the game most of the team came to visit him, which was such a great gesture.

The outpour of concern in the community is still overwhelming. It's been amazing to see how many people & lives this has touched.

My parents are doing ok, as is my littlest sister, who saw it all happen. We have a lawyer who is following up on the contractor to make sure his insurance covers all the medical bills. If he tries to get away with anything we will probably sue. Otherwise, it's looking like this man might lose his insurance coverage because we'll probably use it all up.

The local tv stations covered the story, but really tried to put a melodramatic twist on it. We are more concerned about the boys all mending, than this man, right now.

Sam's surgery went well also. The surgeon still isn't sure about his hand, but the skin graft part went well.

He is in alot of pain, so prayers are still appreciated.
