Mmmmmmm, Cupcake... now there's a great name if ever there was one! :D Which reminds me I *still* have yet to go to that store in Victoria and get that lipbalm..! Will have to do in en route to Amersham on Thursday ;) You can expect to see one very happy chocolate-orange scented girl turning up on your doorstep Leoba! :D

It seems like some b77 girls are having a m77t. Lucky girls. *sigh*

I guess I need to ask my question again since noone saw it:

Jae, hope your hot water gets fixed! That's an annoying thing not to have!

Eruname, you're asking the girl who doesn't wear make up. At the end of the day I use organic olive oil to cleanse my face - preservatives and chemicals in cleansers make my skin irritable. :(

The main make-up remover touted is Ultrabland (as used by the girl in ScissorSisters, apparently!), but I can't see why either AM or AOBS wouldn't work.

Which reminds me, now I have some little pots, I must get round to sending those sample out to DTG, before she logs back on here and tells me off. :P

Pandora, when you chose a Whipstick, make sure it's one of the smooth ones - it should have the consistency of cake mix. The Sales Assistants in Victoria usually know the good batches, but will help you unscrew all the pots looking for the perfect one if needs be!

Angels or Aqua Marina as make-up removers... :scratch They don't do the best job because make-up is (generally) oil-based, so you need some oil to remove it and both AOBS and AM are more water- than oil-based. I find that neither of them do the job thoroughly; I usually need an oily cleanser such as Babyface (solid) or Ultrabland (creamy) to get rid of all the gunk(*). But of course that could be because of the make-up I use (heavy-duty lipstick and eye stuff, sometimes foundation). If you use only light lipstick, powder eyeshadow, mascara or face powder, AOBS or AM should be enough. :)

(*) or cleansing wipes

To make it clearer: if you use a rinse-off wash or gel to remove your make-up, you should be ok with AOBS and Aqua Marina. :)

DTG, check here: http://www2.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/cat ... 0004:upd=y

They have a cocoa butter and tangerine lipbalm (Lip Service) and a Lite one (which I've never tried). They've just released new lipbalms in the UK site, too: one with honey, one with lime and another with tea tree oil. I haven't tried either of those but I can't wait to try the honey one.

The tea-tree one smells and tastes kinda like vanilla actually :) Not at all what I'd expected! And speaking of trees... have you tried the 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap yet? It's like Sakura in a soap! :D I love mine  Have yet to try Cereology and Demon in the Dark - will wait till I've finished 17ctl first methinks :) The Dreamtime temple balm is pretty fab too - sends you right off to sleep!

Muahahahaha... I had a job interview at Lush Victoria last week actually... did a trial hour as well and they gave me a huge goody bag full of stuff! (inc 2 bath bombs, 3 large chunks of soap and a face mask sample pot) AND then gave me a 50% staff discount on a few extra bits I bought! If I got the job it would be great, but it's only a part-time position :( Have had 2 other interviews tho for full time jobs so am keeping fingers crossed in general :) Anything is good! I just *wish* the Lush job was full time as it's by far the nicest place to work *sigh*

Ooooh, good for you!

And even if you start working part-time, later on a full-time position may get available, and you'll have the experience and the contacts to get that full-time position.

I'll keep my fingers crossed fot you...:D:D

Wow! Lush sure is good to possible future employees! I bet they're awesome to their own employees. I think that would be a cool place to work for but the pay probably wouldn't be enough.

As for the Lip Service, I don't think I like it very much. It does smell nice (just a hint of tangerine) and for a while it does feel good on your lips. It's a pain to get out of the pot though! I have to warm it up just a bit on my hand before attempting to get any out. It doesn't seem to last all that long to me and my lips still end up chapped and dry. :( I was soooo hopeful for it!
