I had to see that on the same day I find out that dead human fetuses are a delicacy in China.

Nice site :P
Might get added to my daily browse routine as a supplement to the regular ICHC visits.

Some of the turkey cakes were hillarious. I love the FIAL one too... he he...

...and the sushi wedding cake is certainly what I'd like :D I can't believe I've never thought of daydreaming of that myself!!!!!!

mmmmmmmm  :D :D :D

I have a coworker who used to dabble in professional cake decorating - some of the stuff they can do is amazing and very time consuming... I love the little garfield character cupcakes on one of the pages - so good!...

Some of the stuff looks amazing but it makes me cringe when I think of eating it... pure icing was never my fav. Its mostly artwork for artwork's sake! :P

Lali, that entry seems to have disappeared from the livejournal site I read it from. A quick google search results in a snopes.com page saying it was a false rumor, which is good to hear, though what I saw on LJ was a genuine news article that included a photo of the soup. Hopefully it was all faked.

Hah, I'm sitting here and reading the Friday magazine in Norway's biggest newspaper - and there's the fetus cake! Someone is watching Cakewrecks, methinks. :blackeye:

Poor kid. How Aryan can you be with red hair and brown eyes? ;) But yeah, shame how some folks look for attention...

There aren't name laws...any attempt to pass a law limiting names would probably be so soundly beaten down that it would be sad to watch. :Q

Well, I'd say this is a good example for why you should have one. Calling your kid Adolf Hitler (or Aryan Nation...) is child abuse, in my opinion.

But it's "free speech", so most Americans wouldn't agree.

Can't say that's a can of worms I'd want to open, no. While it's not abuse, I'd be more worried about the ideals those kids grew up believing in rather than what their names are.

Sure, me too. But at least those ideals aren't public like a name, and you can choose whether you want to believe in them or not. But imagine being a normal, sane, good person having to live as "Adolf Hitler" for 18 years. :(

But you're right, can of worms. And this is the cake thread - ew! :Q Get those worms out of here! :Q

I think the chance of that kid growing up to BE a sane, normal, good person aren't so hot, though. It's an assumption for sure, but if the parents gave their kids names like Adolph and Aryan, I might guess that they were some of those White Power loonies, as opposed to just having bad senses of humor. We are probably not on the same page when it comes to what children can choose to believe or not. :P They're kids, it's not about choice. It's about what mommy and daddy tell you. That's their right, of course, and I probably don't have any issues with it unless what they are taught leads to hate and violence. Not saying that all Hitler fans are murdering psychopaths, just that if some ideas are so hard-wired into your brain, they're not gonna stay there forever. Eventually they will turn into actions, and probably not positive ones.

Like naming your kid Adolph Hitler! heh

Santa slugs, omg.

I am pretty impressed that all those things still look fairly yummy, despite being weird as hell. Must be a Christmas thing. :P

I like icing okay. :P

Maybe it just looks good to me because we were supposed to have belated birthday cake last night, but weather conditions kept delaying my brother's flight until he got home at like 3am. I probably dreamt of stuffing my face into a container of icing. Me wants nao...
