Thread for riddles, brainteasers, and whatnot. This one is killing me:

Each number shown below follows a certain rule. Figure out the rule and fill in the missing number.
January 20 April 10 May 5 November 15 July ?

5

10

15

20

20.

I'm thinking the rule is with the days: 20-10-5-15... Difference between 20 and 10 is ten, difference between 10 and 5 is five, and the difference between 5 and 15 is ten... so the difference between 15 and ? should be five. Ten Five Ten Five.

Right? Wrong?

Answer (hit the quote button to see it properly):

Normally in these sorts of puzzles the number has something to do with the word of the month itself - especially when they give you the next month and ask for the number. Perhaps the number of vowels, consonants, starting letter, number of letters with straight lines only (such as w)... In this case it's the number of syllables in the month, times 5. So the answer is 10.

And how Lidless proved once again that he is more intelligent/logical than the all lot of us ;) ;) ;)

I had figured out it had to do with months and numbers but couldn't pinpoint it

And the most perceptive post ever made on B77 kills the thread,
