Spring forward. Why does the time change occur on the weekend, damnit???!? Why can't it occur on Monday....say around 4pm? :D

The United States and European Union do not do their time changes at the same time. The US springs forward on the second Sunday in March as opposed to the EU springing forward on the last Sunday of March.

I think the fall time changes are different as well now. I think they used to be the same but the US changed when they do it not long ago.

And of course there are some places in the US that don't do it at all!

I think it's totally dumb, and I wish we'd do away with it altogether! :rage:

For some reason my iPod rolled over into daylight savings on Feb. 27th. This was while I was on my sailing trip and it caused me much confusion because I was sure that wasn't supposed to happen until March but, OTOH, there's one flight from Grenada to the US/day and I didn't want to miss it.

Fortunately, the guy leading the sailing trip knows things about time and he got me sorted out. But I still want to know why my iPod rolled over a week too soon.

Check what zone you have it set for. ?? That's the only thing I can think of.

I had it set for the right time zone. It just automatically went to daylight.

Well, when did daylight savings used to start before Bush passed the energy conserving whatever lets move daylight savings bill?
