I've cried a thousand oceans, and I would cry a thousand more if that's what it takes to sail you home.

He's not hurting anyone, he just thinks they're wieners.   It has been a crappy news day, so I am totally cool with ending it on this note haha.

Though not nice I can understand anybody feeling that way about their kids. But for some reason the "they don't know what good music is" part really really bugs me. :nono: :nono:

Ooo, why so? I can totally picture you patting them on the head and coming up with homework lists, if yours started to develop scary tastes. :D

Lord knows I will. :pout:

Okay, I'm totally failing to get this one:

Can someone explain to me why it's funny?

The triceratops character is blacked out, maybe that species isn't from the same age as the brontosaurus, pteradactyl, or whatever the other guys are.

How can land exist before time?
Because science says so?

It's kind of dumb.
Or I don't get it either.
Or both.

Well, I noticed the odd shadow. That is Cera, isn't it? (I think that was her name.)

I didn't get it either. But they added this above the picture:
Quote:
Wait, what?!

Scientists: ‘Triceratops never really existed’

Failer sopoRific adds some context up this post pretty awesomely:There has been some news of a recent paper that suggested triceratops and another species of dinosaur (without horns) should be considered the same species. But the speculation is that the horns are present for juveniles, making the poster a level 2 fail of a fail.
http://failblog.org/2010/08/02/epic-fai ... r-science/

So I guess the poster took Cera out of the movie because science says so, but that's a fail in and of itself. Or something like that. Still not very funny, though.

I wondered if it was a reference to ~recent discoveries~. Hadn't heard of that one, though. I thought some triceratops skulls had huge horns, they couldn't just be young 'uns then. :uhoh:

Well, this isn't from Failblog or Texts From Last Night, and I even considered starting a new thread for it, but it's just too good to miss:

Girl quits her job on dry erase board, emails entire office (33 Photos)

I was scared to find out she misinterpreted the "HOPA" part, since that seems to be her main motivation for quitting and spilling everything else. But I don't have a lot of experience with pronouncing internet acronyms in real life, so perhaps "hpoa" is supposed to sound like hope-a. :P

lol farmville, though.

So what? According to a recent CBC exposé, approximately 60% of the captions on http://ihasahotdog.com/ are fake too, but they're still funny.

And, there are some people who believe that the events recounted in The Lord of the Rings didn't actually happen :Q

That was at the bottom of the first link but my computer was running slow so I didn't want to open it. :P

No skin off my ass. But lame of the site, imo. If you're going to concoct a story, make it way more interesting than 19 hours of farmville. Hardly seems worth it. Not that they waited weeks for the big reveal, but still. This was no Kate's Birthday Party.

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map, And knew that somehow I could find my way back; Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too - So I stayed in the darkness with you

David Thorne is hysterical. My brother David introuduced me to his hijinx a few months ago and while he's quite OTT you can't help but crack up.

Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

Since the Star Wars Kid apparently spent time in a mental hospital, I definitely prefer memes where nobody is hurt. Bonus if you can avoid encouraging the famewhores who want that kind of negative attention. (see: Tequila, Tila)

A friend sent me Five Photos That Show You Why You Shouldn't Take Your Kids To The Zoo. If I have time, I will get them posted here. I would sooner post the link, but there is never a link on these things, which irritates me.
