Actually, there should just be a table with homemade waffles and homemade pancakes and homemade french toast, with maple syrup, butter pecan syrup, boysenberry syrup, stawberry syrup, blueberry syrup, cinnamon syrup, apple syrup, jim beam maple syrup, plus fresh wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples and other fruits, as well as pecans, walnuts...
Good idea.

See to it, would you? :poke:

I wondered what that delicious smell was that was wafting from this thread....

mind if I grab a plate and pull up a chair? I'll put the kettle on, too :)

Nonono, you put the pecan bits IN the waffles by sprinkling them on the iron before you pour the batter on, THEN you put butter and maple syrup on the finished product. Do I have to explain everything to you people? :suspicious:

On the other hand, I think brunch buffets need bread pudding with chocolate chips and whiskey sauce, so I'm a heathen anyway.

I am deeply, deeply disappointed that nobody has bothered to ask which got eaten first, the chicken or the egg.
The answer is: the egg, because it's yummy for breakfast, the first meal of the day.

Really? Please??

**slobbers

We're doing baked potatoes tonight. One of many downsides to working through the weekend is I am left very short on groceries. :/

Waffles are so easy to do, if you have a waffle iron. Just make some, River!

I was going to say, what sort of family and friends do you have, that you got married and didn't get a waffle iron? :doh1: :rage: :bang:  :salmon:  ;)

I have a waffle iron. I also have a grocery shortage. I could have corrected that last night but I was too tired.

If you can't wait until Saturday morning, we can make them for you when you arrive on Friday. After all, breakfast for dinner isn't any less conventional than having dessert before the main course.

Not that we know anyone who would do that, of course...
