It was clearly the chicken. Eggs have no feets so they can't run, so the chicken will always come first, no matter what.

Also, I like Bacon butties with Cheese for breakfast.

Yes, but eggs roll. Now what goes faster, things that roll, or things that run?

Scissors have those two pointy things that look like legs.... and rocks, well, the best ones are round. Rock beats scissors, therefore egg beats chicken!!

My logic is im-peck-able :blackeye:

Actually it's a whisk that beats an egg.

If you can't wait until Saturday morning, we can make them for you when you arrive on Friday. After all, breakfast for dinner isn't any less conventional than having dessert before the main course.

Not that we know anyone who would do that, of course...
Well I might have eaten too much pizza and missed the brownies. Priorities man, priorities.

I actually don't eat dessert that often, really. So I lunge when I can get one. That and brownies are never safe around me. Especially fresh ones made from scratch. I can't restrain myself.

I can wait until morning for waffles, though, once upon a time, my family had a habit of eating pancakes or waffles for dinner on Friday nights. Then, at some point, that changed and we started having them for Sunday brunch. Usually pancakes because Mom had a great big electric griddle and she could do six pancakes (one/person) all at once, whereas the waffle iron only works one at a time.

You guys crack me up with your yolks... :P

Maria, a "butty" or "butties" is a term for a sandwich, originating in the NE of England, most commonly used when describing a chips or bacon between two slices of buttered bread...

Actually, there should just be a table with homemade waffles and homemade pancakes and homemade french toast, with maple syrup, butter pecan syrup, boysenberry syrup, stawberry syrup, blueberry syrup, cinnamon syrup, apple syrup, jim beam maple syrup, plus fresh wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples and other fruits, as well as pecans, walnuts...

It wouldn't be bad to have some scones, crumpets, bagels, cream cheese, jams, clotted cream, fresh juice in various flavors, and some savory breakfast foods as well.
Wot, no spam?

Chips as in french fries? Or chips as in crisps? Between buttered bread?

That's wrong on so many levels. I disagree with it fundamentally. :pout:

I was only illustrating the underlying cause of the North-South divide in England...

The tomato ketchup almost makes it healthy. A better variant is one in which thick butter melts from the heat of the chips and drips out.

There is only one true breakfast food.

Donuts, with a big O in the middle.

Its in the "don't knock it till you try it" category. Chip Butties are Awesome!

(But Crisp sandwiches are nice too! Ideally Taytos, not Walkers...)

In honour of this thread I shall be eating breakfast for dinner tonight! Rashers, Sausages, fried Eggs and Sautéed Potatoes ftw.

Mmm, sauteed potatoes. Even better than hash browns. Especially when you let them just caramelize, so they pick up the touch of crispiness. A bit of ground pepper, some sea salt... :yummy:

That's it: waffles, eggs and bacon for dinner tonight. And bread pudding for dessert. :D And sauteed potatoes tomorrow. :D:D
