Back in 2006, while looking for a purebred German Shepherd puppy, I stumbled across a new breed, called the Shiloh Shepherd

I was interested, and joined their forum. I became friends with a lady named Sarah, who lived not too far away from me, and was planning to get a Shiloh pup. Well, one thing led to another, and Sarah now has two Shilohs, and in August, they had babies!

I was there for the birthing, and helped out.

Two weeks ago, I brought home one of the three female pups from this litter. Here she is, Teena's Epic Victory (Teena for short). She was by far the smallest pup at birth, which is why she was nick-named Tiny Teena, but she is now as big as her biggest sister, and growing like a bad weed!

Here's a smaller version:

Looks like she's planning some mischief, doesn't it?

She does. It's like the little pause before she gets going again. :)

What a cute baby!!!! And the breed description is cool. Makes me wish I could have one.... but the sheep kinda preclude that. I can't have a herding dog around- would drive the sheep nuts.

I love shepherds sooooooo much!! She's beautiful. Does she always have just the one ear up? Apparently our first dog was like that, it was a few weeks in between the ears finally straightening. :D

*E*, if your take a look at her blog, you'll see that both ears were down, sort of like a lab's, when I brought her home. The left ear came up first, and the right one is now nearly up.

Sometimes the ears fall back down again when they start to get their permanent teeth around 14 or 15 weeks. That happened with my GSD, Star. Both ears came back up again within a few weeks.

It's very common for the ears to be a 'work in progress' for a couple of months, until the dog matures.
