Here is a site that will give you endless fun: Translation party

Type a phrase, it "find equilibrium", and watch it translate your phrase back and forth into Japanese and English, and will only stop when it hits equilibrium - e.g. translates it identically into English twice in a row.

I love artificial intelligence. :D

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

becomes

"1111111 President Bush is 1,111,111,111,112 bird gets to use a single value."

"Genius is more often found in a cracked pot than in a whole one" became:

"Between more than one pot, one or two frequencies in one single genius crack detection."

Hmmm, profound...

:D

This Bible verse:

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Is now:

I saw that you find specific information about the dust and take care of me and you and your brothers and board?

Although, it says it is doubtful this phrase will ever reach equilibrium. :(

The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick

Didn't reach equilibrium.

You have two leaders in June 31 has been 12 days ago, the one or two days 1 day 2,1, the first sheep, or two or three days, one of three major infectious diseases two 1,3 11121

It certainly has convulsions with numbers.

"Three blind mice, see how they run" becomes: 1 1111111113 one operation, 1 2,3,3, and visually, one single mouse, 2009 January 11, Sun 2:59 am, fashion, the following two ways: one for one, I once Failed to execute: and failed to reach EQ.

In the place of a Dark Lord you would have a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth! All shall love me and despair!

becomes

If the Lord will have Kuininzadaku! However, Morne beautiful dark scary! Dangers of the sea! Stronger than the foundations of the earth! All my love and despair!

However, the earlier translation attempts are funnier:

The location of the Dark Lord will have a Queen! But not dark, beautiful, Morne's terrible! Dangers of the sea! Stronger than the foundations of the earth! I have to love all and despair!

Here's my motto:

"Faithful heart may have forward tongue"

went through this

"Mon 5 to faithfully transfer the hearts of the tongue"

to reach equilibrium at

"5, tongue and true heart"

:LMAO:

How about a little Paradise Lost?

Nine times the space that measures night and day to mortal men, he with his horrid crew lay vanquished, rolling in the fiery gulf, confounded though immortal.

9 to measure the amount of times one night, a man of human day, he was horrid crew Lay vanquished, rolling in the Gulf but severe disruption of immortality.

9, he was defeated Ray heartless crew, the rolling of the Gulf region, overnight from the date of the amount of times people, severely disrupted to measure a man immortal.

"So now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe." (Marcus Cole, Babylon 5) hardly changes at all: "So I now get great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."

Wow..... This one went through a lot of reiterations: "If there's no great glorious end to all this, if ... nothing we do matters ... then all that matters is what we do." ("Angel", season II, "Epiphany") and finally becomes , "All people are the best of all important question ... to honor those close to you" -- Which, by a crazy random happenstance, is actually what Angel really meant to say, I think! More or less! ;)

From Men In Black:
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

becomes...

"People are smart. In these cases, people are stupid to recognize a state of panic dangerous animals. 15 100 years ago, everybody knew the earth was the center of the universe. 1 105 years ago, two minutes before our planet, many people in my house, he is 15 years old, most people know. Please, tomorrow. Imagine"

I pulled a random phrase from a blog:

"It seems that a proposal to reward doctors for “enrolling” patients with higher care needs, such as young children and those with chronic diseases, has caused a bit of debate amongst the general practitioner community."

And the thing took it upon itself to lecture me:

"This area is a typical payment of discussion between doctors and patients and doctors, "bit of a community," and you are causing the failure of the arrogant attitude of the children's medical register."

The Hobbit was living in a hole in the ground. Not in a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the smell of mud, the worm ends, but, still, dry sand, sitting in the hall naked: Hobbit holes, comfortable feeling justified.

The punchline "Putting on your shoes before your pants is a terrible idea"

goes through

These pants in front of me I will be placed in the shoes I thought it was scary

and

I and my shoes, before these, but I fear for my pants

and several others, before reaching equilibrium at

I and my shoes, before these. I fear my pants

ETA: meanwhile, my signature develops as follows:
(some omitted)

Sleep is a death; Oh, make me try by sleeping what it is to die.

Sleep is death; Oh, what can I die, please try to sleep.

However, the sleep of death Oh, I'm dying to please you, you need to go to sleep.

Dead asleep, but, ah sleep of death, I have to please you, you are.

The dead are sleeping, sleep of death Oh, I amuse you if you have.

It is dead, alas sleep of death, I amuse asleep
And reaches equilibrium at:
Sleep is death, unfortunately, is dead in bed to entertain me.

Hmmm... sounds like a contemporary surrealist play...

Oh, this is a classic!!

Original quote from RotK - "Great horns of the north wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last."

comes up with this:

"Great Horn said, blowing the living daylights out of North Korea. Rohan had come at the end."

and this:

"Great horn, someone living in North Korea is blowing. Rohan had come at the end."
