Okay, my choice went through some interesting iterations:
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! The Middle-idiot who can help if you are not.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! If that is not the Middle East can help stupid people.
:Q
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! If you are a stupid people in the Middle East that we can not help.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! If people who are stupid people in the Middle East, we can not be supported.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! If we do not have many people in the Middle East to help the stupid people we have.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! We are in the Middle East if we, stupid people who do not have a lot of people to support.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! If we are, we are stupid people who do not have a lot of support we have in the Middle East.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! In the Middle East, many people, our people are stupid people who do not have a lot of people a lot of people to support the number of people.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! In the Middle East, our people and many of our people of many many people who are foolish people to support the number of people are not attracted.
Quote:
Good gracious heavens, no, no, no, no! In the Middle East, our people and our people stupid people to support the number of people a lot of people who we do not have a lot of people a lot of attention.
Quote:
It is doubtful that this phrase will ever reach equilibrium.

If it helps, even though more and more people get accumulated as the translations progressed, the word "people" did not appear in the original quote.

Also, there is a proper noun that disappeared as early as the first attempt. I don't know why, but possibly translator makes no distinction between proper and common nouns...

And possibly whoever programmed this thing has some bias against the Middle East? ;)

Further hint: the first sentence made it through the translation unscathed, and is exactly as it is found in the book.

Hmm, I can't remember the exact quote, but is it Bilbo's response when Bard accuses Bilbo of being a traitor or a spy?

Well, its obviously Bilbo, and I could start guessing at the different places he might have said it, but they'd be just that.

It isn't Bilbo - he's addressed by name in the quote but the translator mistook it for a common noun.

oooh wait. Is it Gandalf when Bilbo calls Beorn a furrier?

"Good gracious no, no no. Don't be a complete idiot if you can help it", or something?

Yes, that's right!

"Good gracious no, no no, NO! Don't be a fool Mr. Baggins if you can help it."

This one's easy enough, cause one sentence passed through unscathed. Some interesting iterations on the others though!
Quote:
Clean now, I spend a hot time in the morning was very dark if necessary! Snow mountains fair, sun and sea! Lightning storm! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All my love and despair! '

Galadriel's speech -almost too easy!

In the place of a Dark Lord you would have a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth! All shall love me and despair!

Okay... This one didn't reach equilibrium but I thought it was good enough to use anyway!
Quote:
"I recommend the gladiatorial glory of his love arrows designed for news. This is my love, to protect them."

That's great! I'm going to start ending all my letters with "All my love and despair"! :D

As in,

"Dear _________ ,
blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah

All my love and despair,
Jude"

I don't know about everyone else, but I think I need a hint.

Well, there are only 3 words left from the original:

glory, arrow (which has become pluralised in the translation) and love

Other hints: spoken by a man in TTT

Faramir?

Yeah, well done, Al! Though the quote actually ran up to " I love only that which they defend:" :)

For this one I'm giving everything except the input sentence. In other words, this is the full translation to Equilibrium!
Quote:
It is we, it is hoped that

It is we, are expected

It is our hope that we will

We hope, we are the

We hope we have

We think that

We think

We believe

We believe

Is the original a complete sentence, or a fragment?
