My guess is one of the dwarves complaining about carrying Bilbo in the goblin tunnels.

Oops! Found it, and it looks like ED was right:

It didn't quite reach equilibrium, but close enough:
Quote:
IMP Eorl Gawara thatched roof, the smell of home, the floor of the barn that serves as a robbery of all dogs.
I'm sure this one will be easy.

Saruman to Theoden. The bit about "What is the house of Eorl but a thatched barn where brigands drink in the reek while their brats roll on the floor with the dogs" (Quotation from memory, so apologies if its a bit off)

Yup! Good work.

I have no idea what Translation Party meant by "IMP". I guess Gawara would be House.

Doh! will have to wait till I'm at home to post another. Don't think it would be fair to run one of my garbled "quotes from memory" through the Translator. :)

This one should be easy cause of the two names in it, but that's about the only reason!
Quote:
Master headache, Lightfoot, faithful servant, the horse has Snowmane premature.

From memory:

"Faithful servant, yet master's bane,
Something something, swift Snowmane".

*looks it up*

Well, I was close!

"Faithful servant yet master's bane,
Lightfoot's foal, swift Snowmane".

"I must give your name, and I called the Pain."

This may be harder than I thought - it has a proper name in it, but it got translated.

Wow - I'm impressed.

Would you have gotten it if I hadn't re-capitalized "Pain"?

Well, it was the only possible proper name in there, and I immediately thought of "I will give name, call you pain" so the syntax was enough to get the rest.

This one is crazy, so I'll give a hint. Its from The Hobbit
Quote:
Will be returned only if there is no need to take no action on any of the waste.

Houston, we may have a problem. I'm looking at this and I can't even remember the correct quote myself!

Oh, wait, yeah I do. You'll never get it without another hint. Its in Mirkwood.

Ohhh. And I was searching Thorin's letter to Bilbo, and Bilbo's bargaining before the Battle of the Five Armies.

But I still can't find it.

I'm going to give you a really close hint since as I said, this was a really tricky one. You have the right speaker, its in Mirkwood, and its just before their capture.

With that information, I was sure it was "A feast would be no good, if we never got back alive from it," but I ran that through TP and it wasn't! Nor was it "No one is to stir from hiding till I say" (which admittedly was rather less likely). But I can't get any sense of even parts of it. Possibly "will be returned" is something about coming back. :bang:

Nup, I give up. Even with such a clue as that. Sorry.

I tried "A feast will be no good, if we never come back from it", but it didn't come out as anything close.

Maybe post one of the in-between results before it reaches equilibrium?
