In honor of Frank Costanza, today is Festivus. Let us commence with the annual Airing of Grievances and telling others how they have sorely disappointed you during the previous year.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to tell people how much you appreciate them?

Ah, it's from Seinfeld. This makes more sense now.

I never liked that show.

But we can also have the positive part of Festivus also ...... reporting on Festivus Miracles. If anything really good happens to you or your family today, chalk it up to a Festivus Miracle.

Being that this is the internet, we just cannot do the Feats of Strength.

that is okay Estel..... even if you do not believe in Festivus - Festivus believes in you. :grouphug:

In keeping with the spirit of Festivus, I'd like to point out that, in the words of Her Maj, this has truly been an annus horribilis for me on this Board and I wish I'd never had the pleasure of knowing any of you... :P

Happy Festivus you bunch of cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shits! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

Let the feets of strength begin...yes I said feets. not feats.

Well I experienced my own little Festivus Miracle this afternoon. I went to get some last minute shopping done at this huge mega store we have here in the midwest - Meijers -. Its one of those grocery/hardware/clothing/everything superstores with fifty different check out lanes. As I expected, the lines were long and the carts full. So I went down to the far end of the store and surprise, surprise - a wonderful Festivus angel shouts out "no waiting on aisle seven". And guess where I was at the time? Yup, smack dab in front of aisle seven.

It was a wonderful Festivus Miracle. Believing is good.

Hope you don't mind me picking up an old thread, but Dec 23 is Yestare. So celebrate the new year instead! (Unless, like me, you use the calendar of Rivendell instead. If that's so, celebrate anyway. ;) )
