Sharky, a lot of the stranded people I know had gone to visit their families over the Easter break. A lot of families went travelling in that time, too - since there's a couple of weeks away from school, and it's cheaper than travelling in the summer.

And Dad had a convention to work at, and I doubt there's any particular reason that it was held when it was, because serious philatelists often don't seem to have day jobs...

So yeah. Reassuring? I like to think so. :scratch:

I often wonder how people can continue to live near these geological time-bombs, but on the other hand, if I found out that Ottawa was expecting an eruption at some unspecified time within the next century or so, would I pick up everything and just move?
