Digilant: alternate form of "diligent", used in poetry when you need something to rhyme with "viligent"

"roiling" - a mixture of boiling and rolling?

I came across the following phrase in a commentary: "an island of serenity in a roiling sea of violence". Typo? Or the author couldn't make up his mind which word to use, and decided to amalgamate them both into one?

I think roiling is a legitimate word, actually.

It is. Actually.

I like making up words. It's freshaliscious!!!

Well, that's really an inappropriate word, that word should better be used for something one eats or drinks.

But I like it, just the same.

Geneodidaskalosymposiumpaidohypenthymist - a person employed by parent-teacher associations whose function is to jump up and shout "Think of the children!" at regular intervals.

Examples:

1. Our last monthly meeting threatened to osgiliate into irrelevant topics such as curriculum and budgetary concerns, but fortunately our geneodidaskalosymposiumpaidohypenthymist managed to keep us on track.

2. Mary Reeves served as geneodidaskalosymposiumpaidohypenthymist for the Oshawa PTA from 1981 - 2005, before retiring to focus her energies on theobromic mageirema.

subfluous - unnecessary, and beneath consideration

This one is acutally quite common on a celiac forum I've been reading today: "glutened"
As in, "I got glutened last weekend!"

(it means, of course, accidental ingestion of gluten by one who cannot tolerate it)

a feeling that comes upon New Englanders during the months of September through November and causing them to mass consume beer flavored with autumn type fruits and vegetables. Most notably pumpkin.
