DA DOES warn you IN the book you might want to skip it... several times I think...

I personally don't advocate skipping it myself, but it is decidetly outside the style of the rest of the series.

oops!!! I guess in my religious fervor not to skip parts of books, I managed to skip the warnings in the book to skip parts of the book with the result that I only skipped the part of the book that would have told me to skip the part of the book that the author wanted me to skip.

To be fair, I don't think I would have hated it as a separate short story -- I just hated it (perhaps too strong a word -- felt mightily let down by it) in the context of the larger story being told
