It's coming along, though real life manages to interfere far more than I like. :(
(Though my decision to learn Arabic did nothing to give me more free time. )

Arabic? Must be difficult, though.

Ooh, a deadline. I'm not sure we'll manage 2010 ... ;)

Jokes aside, right now RL is keeping me insanely busy. I hope things will improve by the end of the month, when school slows down a bit, I’ve finished my latest commission and done my taxes.

However, I've done a bit of writing lately, but it's for a scene that's going to take place later. For the scenes at hand, I have to wait for what LoR is going to come up with in order to react to her post.

Squee-Squee-Squeeeeeeeeeee! Not one, but two new posts!

AJ certainly knows how to throw a good party - food, drink, pretty consorts, a captured Wraith-slayer, entertainment, and not only a challenge to Gondor but the execution of his oldest son!

Thanx, AJ; I'll skip the next invitation.

Good for Bezalil, one of the few voices of reason. Poor Eowyn has reason to be nervous, if AJ will kill his own child, he could certainly kill hers, and herself as well.

And Elessar's brought the fleet to Umbar, and Faramir has a new ally!

I just hope that before he dies, AJ finds out that Faramir-in-drag crashed the festivities....

More, please; and don't make me wait months!

I refuse to plan any more parties for him. They're too complicated and involve far too much drama.

I'll do my best not to go six months between posts again, promise. ;) I've learned I need to not be online when writing, because shiny things on the Internet distract me. I think creating a Southron playlist on iTunes also helped.

Cool. I wonder what songs were on that list

I should be writing essays right now and planning lessons for the coming semester, but I feel more inspired to write other things. And yeah, the internet is a wicked thing for getting distracted.

As for the party, I really liked the old fellow, and the fact that AJ's eldest took things so calmly, and even managed to pay daddy back a little. And poor Adûn. This fits to nicely with what I have planned for him =:)

Gonna try and get a certain tark into the castle, and then I guess it's email for a while. Unless he doesn't get very far ...

Songs on my Southron playlist:
Acoustic Africa
The Festival in the Desert
Acoustic Arabia
Israel
North African Groove
and The Gates of Istanbul from An Ancient Muse.

I'm not quite sure where the old guy came from, but he certainly had a lot to say. :D I think Minastir's past might have been fun to explore, but his part in this tale is over.

Will get an e-mail to you tonight or tomorrowish.

So are we going to have some quality girl talk, between Inzilbeth and Eowyn and the lady fortuneteller  ?

I would imagine Eowyn would feel more comfortable with the lady fortuneteller outside the castle walls and into the hills...

I'm all for Elessar making an appearance and plans for an attack being coordinated. (ah, to give Eomer five minutes alone with AJ; but I think Faramir has first claim on snuffing the jerk; unless Pharzi beats them all to it) Eowyn isn't getting any less preggers; they hopefully won't wait until she's a week away from giving birth to bring down AJ.

Glad to see y'all doing some posting - hopefully more will come soon?!

Oh, Elessar is going to make an appearance alright. And Éomer, too. I'm currently rereading LotR (was high time for it, and just the right time, I feel), and am enjoying it tremendously, even more than I thought I would. And Éomer has just found his sister on the Pelennor ... :horse: So the mood is set. =:)

Oh, and I also watched the second movie EE ... To quote my sister's pupils: "Isn't don't goesn't!" Absolutely not! I thought things might get less :bang: after a while, but they get worse. And it's not just the Ithilien bits (don't get me started on those ...). So many things are just ... wrong, altered even though the words in the book virtually scream for visualisation. And this is not because of all this "transferring the story into another medium" balderdash. It's ... :rage:

I'll stop now, ok?

Back to the story.

On a sidenote, I heard they're going to make a "Prince of Persia" movie. Not sure what to think of the whole affair -- could be another of these crappy game adaptions --, but I used to like the game for Super Nintendo, mostly because of its setting. At least the film should have some nice costumes and settings.

I am not a huge fan of movie-Faramir; David Wenham is a good enough actor (if you can get over the fact that he looks absolutely nothing like Faramir), but the role was written so poorly and they turned him into a W-I-M-P and gave some of his more notable scenes/moves/qualities to other characters...Grrrr! :rage:

Wow, it's been a long time since I've either watched the books or read the movies. ... Wait. The other way. LOL.

But today I did figure out what Faramir's going to get for his birthday this winter. :D

Hmmm ... now what could that be?

He's very curious, you know, and I think he suspects that it contains some teasing comment on his disguise.

Haha! It doesn't, but perhaps I can find a few swatches to send along as inspiration for his next outfit.

Next post is in the works. My muses were occupied elsewhere (painting), but now they seem to returning. Have a great holiday, Raksha, and a safe journey.

I came here to say I was going to try to get some writing done over the weekend, but then I remembered much of my Saturday afternoon and evening is going to be spent at a secondhand bookstore followed by meeting up with writer friends for supper. And that means anything I need to get done around the house will have to wait for Sunday. So maybe I'll get a document opened and a sentence written by the time I pass out from exhaustion Sunday night. :help:

Khorazir, I loved the new pictures; especially the one of Isildur - you draw wonderful Dunedain.

When will there be a new chapter? You all have been writing this for four years, and Eowyn is still AJ's prisoner.... :(

Thanks Raksha. The Gladden-Fields series is still not complete, and I hope to finish some more paintings before the end of the year. But first I have to see to a couple of commissions.

In fact, those are keeping me from continuing with the story, too. Tomorrow autumn break begins at school, which should give me some more time -- now that finally I have an idea how to get Faramir out of the castle. My muses haven't been very cooperative in that department lately, being more concerned with Beowulf and Tom Bombadil, but now they seem to be recovering.
