An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Tasty and juicy and crispy to bite
Pink Ladies at sunset - a sailor's delight
Hmm, I think that is what my dad used to say

Delicious in red, Delicious in yellow
Fuji's a favorite, Gala's for me
MacIntosh far exceeds any PC
Pippin's as pert as a young Hobbit fellow

Green Granny Smith is so tasty in pies
Add lots of sugar (a word to the wise)
Oranges, well, oranges can't even rhyme! :D

Try voting now!

When the forum was set up, permission for voting was set to "admin only" for some reason. I switched it to the regular setting, then switched the permissions on for the "All_Users" group so I didn't have to switch everyone's permissions for voting on. Please let me know if this doesn't work.

Would there be any reason why RP characters would vote in polls? If so, I can switch their permissions on by hand--they aren't in the "All_Users" group.

I can vote now, so Apples! The only fruit that works for PMS. :)

Lovely poem, Laureanna! :)

These are the only two my son will eat, although I can tempt him with a Pink Lady sometimes. :Q

EDIT: Thanks for fixing the poll, Prim.

Rodia, Chocolate comes from the fruit of the cocao plant, but I don't think it is classed as a fruit. But you are welcome to come up with an ode to chocolate, or tomatoes (which are legally vegetables).

Thanks, Prim! By the way, you cannot take away the constitutional rights of imaginary characters voting in their RPs. Or have we covered that in the constitution yet???

So, are there any non-applistas out there who can put up a puny defense for their fruit of choice?

:drool: :P :x :suspicious: :roll: :) :doh1: :banana:

Well, if the consensus is that all these characters ought to be allowed to vote, then by all means PM me and I will make it so. :) Far be it from me to trample on anyone's rights!

Well, I can vote here with my primary and only ID (which I also use for RP). There could be certain circumstances where an RP leader would want to create a poll, though, seriously, that would be rare.

I'd say, give people the chance to vote in here, why not? Just make sure that RP IDs don't get access anywhere outside this forum ;)

And may I just say Prim, that you're doing a totally awesome job on all levels :D

Alandriel, you are too kind.

I will add the RP IDs to the voting rolls (in this subforum only) within the next few days.

Democracy for all! Democracy for the imaginary! :D

I will make this my motto: demoracy for the imaginary. :love:

Why are strawberries not in the poll?

No pears? We must have pears! :rage:

The only fruit that never gives me a stomach ache. And they go nicely with Wheat Thins and aged white Cheddar. ;)

And no, chocolate is not a fruit, or a vegetable, since it's made from the seeds of the cacao pod. But it is a food group in and of itself, and is therefore essential to a healthy diet. :halo: Full of lovely antioxidants! Delicious and nutritious!

Hold on, I'll see if I can add fruit when I become an all powerful admin. Meanwhile, can you perhaps write a poem for a pear, a soliloquy for a strawberry, or a chanson for a cherry?

Prim - all the alternate persona in my head applaude you!

Yes, you guys do realize that in enfranchising RP IDs you're handing this forum to laureanna, right? Sooner or later?

And laureanna, admins can indeed add options to existing polls.

We still can't edit poll-thread titles or the wording of existing options once they've been voted for.

Yes, there are limits to admin power . . . perhaps I should have broken that to you more gently. . . . :P

But I could delete an option in a poll - even one that had received a vote - and add another instead on the experiment board. :scratch
(There were already ten options, so I had no choice but to delete one! ;) )

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anway, back on subject - is modern poetry allowed ;) ?
Cherries
Rare you are and precious
A few short weeks,
not more
That you grace and sweeten and exhilarate our daily life
Rouse it to pleasures and sensations
not known in those long, barren months
during which we might almost forget there is such thing as you!
But then the time is ripe, and the brief fullness of our northern summers
yields its perfection.
Joyful, loudly you proclaim it.
There, round and firm and red
You offer bliss to all.
The tongue feels your smooth skin and curvy shape,
The teeth then crack the smoothness - cool and sweet and rich
Oozes the juice, and your tender flesh caresses tongue and palate.
The kernel we take out, carefully with our fingers,
And we hold it and wish we could plant each of them,
To make a million joys like to the one its sweet hull gave.
:D
I'm amazed this is an RP topic.
