Is coming to graphic Novel format.

Preview here http://www.devilsdue.net/previews

Scroll down page a bit and click the Forgotten Realms cover for the week of 06/29/05.

(Looks live vol. 2 may be there at the head of the page.)

48 pages each issue.

I read it last night. Very true to the books. Nice artwork.

This is the same company that did the Hedge Knight. That is well worth looking up if you happen to vist a Barnes and Nobles or some place similar.

They are also doing Dragon Lance but I don't know anything about that.

Wow. This may well be the first comic/graphic novel I'd actually consider buying. Very cool REL.

You mean you haven't bought the Hobbit Graphic Novel?

I think it's excellent in it's own right and also as an introduction to younger readers!

Didn't even know such a thing existed Alatar. I don't really keep up with the graphic novel scene. :D

I saw that but to be honest for some reason I didn't like the artwork all that much.

I guess when I read a book I see the characters and the surrounding in my own minds eye and somehow the Hobbit TPB just didn'tr look right. It isn't that the art was aweful. It just didn't look right.

The art in this series though was good enough to pass muster for me. :) There was a couple panels when Drittz was really young and jsut learning to hover/fly/levitate that his head looked to big. Other than that though I don't have any complaints.

I believe Devils Due Publishing lets you order off of their web site. If not or if you'd rather go somewher else for some reason I buy all mine from
http://www.g-mart.com

If you want to buy a TBP I have found that Amazon often is very competitive.

It was done in the Eighties, and has all the conertations of that. Very nice when it first appeared, but even watchman has a dated look now ;)

I don't know. Dated actually suits The Hobbit pretty well. Here's a pic of Smaug's attack on Esgaroth. I've made it as small as I can while still leaving it legible.
