Naurwen was alone. The moon had risen and the silver light bathed the countless scrolls and books that filled row upon row of shelves. This library had been built, by Noldor hands, in the image of that in Garth-en-Aglon in Himlad, with large windows and balconies facing the mountains, and stone pillars hewn like trees, their long branches entwining along the ceiling.
Many times she had stood there, the book forgotten between her hands, gazing at the sun setting behind the mountains, tingeing the snow-capped peaks with golds and reds. Then twilight had come, and as the stars shone outside, so did the crystals set among the stone branches, and the library delven in the mountain became a night garden.
But this was not the same library, for the one she so vividly remembered now lay under water, in the far north. It was but an attempt to keep alive those memories they all treasured.
They called it I Gar nia-Laim, The House of Languages, for most texts devoted to such subject had been removed from the main library, where books were beginning to pile up, and brought here.
It was in this chamber where she spent long hours when dwelling in Mithlond, so did those who had once known the mountain fortress of Celegorm and Curufin, and had not yet passed into the West. And those who wished to acquire language lore, or were in need of translations came here too, for some Elves here spoke Quenya and Adûnaic as well as Sindarin.

As many Noldor, she could lose track of time when it came to lámatyávë, for the pleasure she found in words and sounds was great...
Sorry. I just couldn't help it All this RP is starting affect me
Now seriously, I've been suggested to start a thread about languages and translations in order to give those who request it, a hand with translations into Sindarin.
I can find my way around Quenya and Adûnaic grammar, so if any of you needs translations involving these languages I can definitely give it a try, as long as you're not in a hurry
