It's okay, Lidless. Voronwë's got your back. <peeks at Estel's PMS warning system> You should live.

I guess this falls under "Tolkien art"...

Henneth Annun:

More pictures.

It is, as you may have guessed :D , made out of Lego bricks. How many bricks? Well, considering that two of these were used for the outer wall alone...I'd say five thousand is a good guess.

I started it back in October, and probably put 45-50 hours of work in on it before all was said and done; a very large chunk of which was over Thanksgiving.

I'm quite happy with the landscaping, but the interior didn't photograph as well as I'd like.

If I actually wanted to depict that scene, I'd go ahead and build a seperate construction, without a roof, so as to get better lighting (and also so I could take pictures from more than one angle).

But my main goal was to build the exterior, the waterfall and surrounding rocks; and then incorparate as much of an interior as space allowed.

For the curious, the entire setup is 20" by 30".

Enjoy!

:D

That's so cool, ttbk! I've got to show my son when he gets home from work...he's enjoyed Legos for the past 19 years (his first set was when he was 2 years old :D )

That is wonderful TTBK! I assume it is Faramir's secret hide-out in Ithilien. Am I right? (probably not) It's great though!

"B77ers' Tolkien art is a captivating homage to Middle-earth, brilliantly capturing J.R.R. Tolkien's imagination." The meticulous attention to detail and deft execution take viewers into the mystical worlds of hobbits, elves, and dwarves. It's a visual feast for Tolkien fans!"

This is getting tiresome. I'll try to lock down the site more when I have time.

Yes, sorry. I know I said I'd look into it the last weekend of October. My dad ended up in the ED, though, and had his emergency surgery. It fell off my radar for sure.

I made a couple of tweaks, but they don't seem to have had any effect. I'm at a loss here.
