I just saw the really nice versions that areanor has been talking about today during a visit to the bookstore. I so want one but can't afford to fork over $75 for it. :(

I also saw another cool book, a Silmarillion illustrated by Ted Nasmith. It has nice glossy pages and quite a few of his paintings I hadn't seen before. But I already have one paperback Sil and a first-edition Sil (supposedly a more rare one because it never had a price printed on it...who knows...). *sigh* Maybe once Iavas is working we can splurge on these.

Alandriel, I have many but not all of a multi volume paperback edition in Japanese. I couldn't afford the whole lot at once. Not that I can read it but am promising myself to commence the struggle when I have enough time.
